Stahlin pioneered the world's first fiberglass electrical enclosure and has led the non-metallic enclosure industry for over 70 years. Their fiberglass-reinforced polyester (FRP) and polycarbonate enclosures offer significant economic savings over stainless steel — while providing comparable or superior corrosion resistance, UV stability, and impact protection. Every Stahlin enclosure is manufactured in the USA with vertically integrated in-house production.
Corrosion-Proof by Nature
Unlike metal enclosures that rely on coatings, non-metallic enclosures cannot corrode — period. Ideal for chemical plants, wastewater treatment, coastal installations, car washes, and food/pharma environments where corrosive agents destroy steel.
NEMA 4X, 6P, IP66/IP68
Stahlin enclosures meet the most stringent ingress protection standards including NEMA 4X (hosedown + corrosion), NEMA 6P (prolonged submersion), and IEC IP66/IP68. UL/CSA listed.
30%–50% Less Than Stainless Steel
Non-metallic enclosures deliver comparable or superior physical property performance at a significant cost advantage over 304/316 stainless steel — with no painting, no rust, and no galvanic corrosion.
ModRight Custom Modifications
Stahlin's ModRight program delivers factory-modified enclosures with custom cutouts, holes, windows, and accessories — shipped to your exact spec without third-party fabrication delays.

What's the temperature range for Stahlin fiberglass enclosures?
Stahlin fiberglass (FRP) enclosures operate from -76°F to +274°F (-60°C to +134°C). Polycarbonate models operate from -20°F to +240°F (-29°C to +115°C). This wide range makes fiberglass particularly well-suited for extreme outdoor and industrial environments.
Can Stahlin enclosures replace my existing stainless steel enclosures?
In most corrosive environments, yes. Fiberglass enclosures deliver equal or superior corrosion resistance at 30–50% lower cost. They're particularly advantageous in chemical, coastal, and wastewater environments where even 316 stainless can pit or corrode over time.
Are custom cutouts and modifications available?
Yes — Stahlin's ModRight program provides factory-machined custom cutouts, holes, windows, and accessories, delivered to your exact specification. This eliminates field modification and ensures NEMA ratings are maintained.
What's the difference between the J Series and N Series?
Both are fiberglass and carry the same NEMA/IP ratings. The J Series uses a screw-down cover (4 screws, lift-off) which is more common for junction box applications. The N Series features a hinged cover with latches for frequent-access applications where opening and closing the enclosure is a regular task.
