Pfannenberg enclosure air conditioners for control panels and drive cabinets, from the DTS 3021 at 900 to 1,300 BTU/hr up through the larger DTS, DTT top mount and DTI units. Each one is rated at 95°F outside and 95°F inside the panel, in NEMA 12, NEMA 3R/4 and NEMA 4/4X 304 stainless versions, at 115 V, 230 V or 460 V. An air conditioner is the pick when the plant air gets as hot as the panel, or hotter.
Start with the enclosure heat load calculator: enter the panel size, the internal watts and the ambient, and it returns the BTU/hr the unit has to remove. If the room always stays at least 18°F below the panel target, a sealed heat exchanger may do the job on fan power alone; see air conditioner vs heat exchanger.
Replacing a Hoffman, Rittal, Saginaw, Thermal Edge, IceQube or Kooltronic unit? Use the air conditioner cross reference. Washdown area? See washdown enclosures and cooling. Related: enclosure cooling guide, Pfannenberg, or request a quote.
