TECO NexE is a business unit of TECO-Westinghouse. Applied Control represents NexE in Michigan, Indiana and Ohio for three phase liquid-filled padmount and substation transformers, AC and DC EV chargers, and energy storage projects.

The transformers come from the TECO-Westinghouse family. A plant that already runs TECO motors and drives deals with the same group for its medium voltage transformers.
Padmount transformers
Three phase liquid-filled padmount transformers for campus and plant distribution. FR3 natural ester fluid is available; it has a higher fire point than mineral oil, which matters when the unit sits near an occupied building.
Substation transformers
Liquid-filled substation transformers for larger plant and campus substations. Send the kVA, primary and secondary voltages, BIL and impedance and we confirm the design with the factory.
EV chargers
AC and DC chargers for fleet, employee and service vehicle charging. Send the vehicle count, dwell time and the service available at the site.
Energy storage
Battery energy storage quoted on a defined project. Send the power in MW, the energy in MWh, the duty cycle and whether the system must island.
What we need for a transformer quote
kVA, primary and secondary voltage, single or three phase, BIL, impedance, taps, fluid, sound level, accessories and monitoring, terminations, and the required on site date. Lead times are confirmed per order with the factory.
