Hoffman ATEMNCF and ATEMNCC cross to the Pfannenberg FLZ 520, and ATEMNOF and ATEMNOC cross to the FLZ 530. The contact type and the switching ratings match: 15 A at 120 V AC, 10 A at 240 to 250 V AC, 30 W DC. Both snap onto 35 mm DIN rail and use a bimetal sensor. The table lists each Hoffman number.

Need one part for a fan and a heater?
The Pfannenberg FLZ 510, 17103000000 has a changeover contact. One set point switches a fan on as the cabinet warms, or a heater off. N.C. side: 100 to 250 V AC, 10 (2) A. N.O. side: 100 to 250 V AC, 5 (2) A. For two separate set points, like the Hoffman ADLTEMP dual thermostat, use one FLZ 520 and one FLZ 530, or ask us for the Pfannenberg FLZ 541 / 543 twin thermostat.
Common questions
Is the FLZ 520 a direct replacement for the Hoffman ATEMNCF?
On ratings, yes. Both are N.C. bimetal thermostats for heaters, rated 15 A at 120 V AC and 10 A at 240 to 250 V AC. Use 17111000010 for a °F dial like the ATEMNCF. Check DIN rail space, since the FLZ is a bit larger.
Which one runs a fan?
The N.O. thermostat. Its contact closes as the cabinet warms. That is the Hoffman ATEMNOF or ATEMNOC, and the Pfannenberg FLZ 530.
Where should the thermostat go in the cabinet?
For a heater, Pfannenberg and Hoffman both say to mount it high in the cabinet, as far from heat sources as you can. Keep the vent slots clear.
How do I set it for a heater?
Add the switching difference to the lowest temperature you will allow. Hoffman gives this example: need 5°C (41°F) minimum, add 11 K (7 K + 4 K), set the knob to 16°C (61°F).
Can it switch a 1,000 W heater at 120 V?
1,000 W at 120 V is about 8.3 A, under the 15 A resistive rating. Fan heaters have a motor, so check the inductive rating (2 A) and the heater data. Use a relay for bigger loads.
