What is different
- Cable range. Each gland uses a two-piece insert, but the ranges do not line up exactly. blueglobe reaches smaller cable on M16 to M50, and AGRO reaches larger cable on M20 to M40 and smaller cable on M63. Measure the cable OD and check the Fit column. For cable outside the AGRO range, send the OD and we pick the AGRO insert or reducing part.
- Seal pressure. Pflitsch lists IP 68 up to 15 bar. AGRO lists IP 68 at 10 bar. Both list IP 69.
- Thread length. blueglobe threads run 6 to 10 mm. AGRO offers a short thread (1000 series, 5 to 10 mm) and a long thread (1100 series, 10 to 14 mm). Pick the long thread for thick walls or a locknut plus a gasket.
- Wrench size. Within 2 mm on every size, so check spacing only on tight multi-gland plates (M40 and up).
Common questions
What AGRO gland replaces a Pflitsch bg 220ms?
The AGRO Progress MS 1000.20 (short thread) or 1100.20 (long thread). Both are M20x1.5 nickel-plated brass. AGRO clamps 8 to 15 mm cable; the bg 220ms covers 5 to 14 mm. For cable under 8 mm, send the OD.
Are AGRO glands UL listed?
The AGRO product pages list a UL clamping range for each size, which is narrower than the full clamping range. If the panel is UL 508A, size the gland to the UL range on the product page.
Do you cross Pflitsch NPT or stainless glands?
Yes. Send the Pflitsch article number and the cable OD. AGRO Progress also comes in 1/2 to 1-1/4 in NPT on this site.
