CFM values are fan blowing into the enclosure and out through an exhaust filter, which keeps the cabinet under positive pressure. What to check before you swap
The Rittal SK 3237 to 3245 cutouts and the Pfannenberg PF cutouts line up within 0.04 in. On SK 3239 to 3245 the Pfannenberg cutout is the same or slightly smaller, so the PF fan goes into the existing hole. On SK 3238 the PF 22000 cutout is 0.04 in larger (4.92 vs 4.88 in), so open the hole slightly. The SK 3139 and 3140 top mount fans use a 10.15 in cutout. The PFT top mount fan needs 11.50 in, so plan a new cutout there.
Look at the IP55 column. Rittal airflow drops about a third at IP55 (SK 3244: 347 CFM at IP54, 225 CFM at IP55). The Pfannenberg fluted filter holds the same CFM at IP54 and IP55. If your spec calls for IP55, compare the IP55 numbers. SK 3245 at IP55 is 259 CFM, and the PF 67000 gives 368 CFM there. Rittal 24 V DC units come in RAL 7035 light gray only. Pfannenberg offers light gray and black.

PF 43000: 122 CFM at IP54 and IP55 through an exhaust filter, in an 8.78 in cutout that fits the 8.80 in Rittal hole.
What replaces a Rittal SK 3238 filter fan?
PF 22000: 28 CFM at IP54 and IP55, 4.92 in cutout. It also comes in NEMA 3R and 48 V DC.
Does the Pfannenberg fan fit the Rittal cutout?
Yes for SK 3237 and SK 3239 through SK 3245. The cutouts match within 0.03 in. SK 3238 needs the hole opened 0.04 in for the PF 22000. The SK 3139 and 3140 top mount fans use a smaller cutout than the PFT top mount fan.
Why compare IP55 airflow?
Rittal fans lose about a third of their airflow at IP55. Pfannenberg PF fans with the fluted filter keep the same CFM at IP55 as at IP54.
